Jennifer Snowden's Son Just Celebrated “Another First” (PHOTO)
The Southern Charm alum is sharing so much about her son after his scary health battle.
During her memorable time on Southern Charm, Jennifer Snowden had been open about her pregnancy issues with son, James Ascher, who she welcomed into the world with her now-husband, Lee, in September 2016.
Now, almost 8 years later, Jennifer's son, who goes by Ascher, is a bright and bubbly 7-year-old who loves being active in his hometown of Charleston.

What happened to Jennifer Snowden's son, Ascher?
Just 15 weeks into her pregnancy, doctors diagnosed her son with a brain encephalocele. "That's when the world turned gray," Jennifer said during a 2017 interview. "They said that if he survives, he may require 24 hour nursing care for the rest of his life."
But, shortly before she gave birth, she received some good news. "It showed his brain was healing itself and at that point, I just thought if I had faith, miracles could happen, who am I to say it couldn't happen to him?" she recalled in a 2017 interview with The Daily Mail. "We still weren't out of the woods but it was hope."
After getting surgery the day he was born, Ascher had a second brain surgery in 2021, and has since continued to thrive, according to Jennifer's Instagram posts.
How is Jennifer Snowden's son, Ascher, doing today?
Jennifer's Instagram account is filled with photos of her, Lee, and Ascher, who are having so much fun together as Ascher continues to defy odds.
In early April, Jennifer posted a photo of her and Ascher riding bikes together, which is something she did not think would be possible. "Another 1st for Ascher I never thought I'd be able to see him do," Jennifer wrote in the caption of the post. "Thank you God, Dr. Eskandari, and MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital."
Ascher, who is the "bravest person" that Jennifer knows, looks like he loves being outdoors. The little boy got to soak up some much welcomed time on the porch, hanging out with his dad. "Living their best porch life," Jennifer wrote in the caption of the photo.
Ascher also got to enjoy time outdoors on Easter Weekend, when the boutique owner and her family traveled to Kiawah Island, and went on an egg hunt at school. Suffice to say, Jennifer and Ascher are living their best lives.

What is Jennifer Snowden up to now?
Jennifer and Lee tied the knot in a ceremony held in the Bahamas in January 2022. Of course, Southern Charm alum, Naomie Olindo, was in attendance.
Jennifer is still busy running her downtown Charleston boutique named after her son, James Ascher. The website is full of brightly colored dresses and accessories, modeled by Jennifer herself, which will have shoppers fitting right in in Charleston.
While she might be busy raising her son, enjoying life with her husband, and being a boss, Jennifer still has time for her Southern Charm friends. In August 2022, Jennifer revealed that she hung out with cast member, Shep Rose, while out on their boat.
