We Have a Major Update on Jennifer Aydin's Relationship with Her Mom
After a season of drama, there's a new development for The Real Housewives of New Jersey family.
This season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Jennifer Aydin opened up about some major issues going on in her family. After conflict arose between Jennifer's parents, she invited her father to come live with her, which caused a rift with her mother (clip above).
Jennifer found herself caught in the middle as both of her parents expressed dissatisfaction with their marriage. As the season progressed, we ultimately found out that Jennifer and her mother were not on speaking terms.
Not much had changed in Jennifer's relationship with her mother after filming on the season ended with the New Jersey Housewife continuing to share in interviews that they still weren't speaking. That was also the case during the RHONJ Season 11 reunion. "We're still not speaking, but I think it's best," Jennifer shared during Part 1 of the reunion, which aired on May 19.
After confirming that her mom also "won't speak" to her dad, Jennifer provided more insight into her lingering issues with her mother. "He actually tries to call her. I don't try to call her. She's waiting for an apology from me," Jennifer explained at the reunion. "I don't think I did anything wrong, taking my father in, and she's mad at me for that."
However, Jennifer just shared some huge news about where she currently stands with her mom in a post on Instagram on May 20. "I’m happy to announce that my mother and I made up!" Jennifer confirmed. "People with strong family values find their way back to each other, eventually-time heals all wounds!"
The photo featured in the post shows Jennifer all smiles with her mom as they both visit her brother, sister-in-law, and nephew in Turkey. "We are in Turkey together enjoying our newest addition, John Brian, who seems to already be obsessed with his Aunt Jenn!" Jennifer said in the post before gushing, "I love you, Mommy and I’m sorry that I hurt you. Let’s get this family back together!"
Fans couldn't be happier for the RHONJ mother-daughter duo, including one familiar Bravo face. "That makes me happy," The Real Housewives of New York City's Leah McSweeney wrote in the comments section of the Instagram post, to which Jennifer replied, "Me too!"
