Jeff Lewis Just Made Things Instagram Official with His Hot New Boyfriend
The Flipping Out designer introduces his first boyfriend since his split from Gage Edward.
Nearly eight months after he and his partner of a decade, Gage Edward, split, Jeff Lewis finally seems to be going public with his new relationship.
The Flipping Out designer seems to have made things Instagram official with his new boyfriend Scott Anderson, according to The Blast and PEOPLE. Jeff's business associate and radio show co-host Megan Weaver shared a photo of herself out and about in Los Angeles with Jeff and Scott on Instagram on August 25. Jeff later shared another pic of himself and Scott out with friends on September 1. He captioned the photo with several wine glass emojis, which makes us think that the foursome must have had a pretty fun night out.
Jeff and Gage both got back into the dating game shortly after they decided to end their relationship of 10 years together back in January. After dabbling in online dating, Jeff began seeing a chiropractor. However, that relationship ended just a few weeks after it began in March.
Jeff then started dating Scott, who he has previously described as "a quiet guy from Portland, Oregon" who is "really sweet" on his Radio Andy show in June, about three months into their relationship. At the time, Jeff and Gage's custody battle over 2 1/2-year-old daughter Monroe had been getting a little ugly.
“I got a lot of personal problems right now,” Jeff said on his radio show at the time. “This is a young, young relationship. We’re talking about three months. The last thing I want to do is burden him with my problems. I don’t want to sabotage this. I’m stepping back. There’s just too much going on right now.”
He also noted that he and Scott may not be on the same page when it comes to their future as a couple. “This is a guy who wants kids and a family and to get married,” Jeff said. “I told him that I don’t want to get married… and I also told him that I would never have another child with someone else. That’s not what you want to hear. You want to get married and you believe in the fairytale and you want to have kids together, and the guy you’re with says, ‘I’m never going to get married and the kids I have won’t be with you?' That could probably be a little bit of an issue.”
Since then, things have gotten much better between Jeff and Gage. The former couple came to a temporary custody agreement for Monroe in August. “I was very much relieved because my biggest concern was Monroe, and I feel like this works best for her,” Jeff said on Jeff Lewis Live last month. “I want to co-parent with Gage. I’m feeling very hopeful moving forward. He’s a good dad.”
Jeff and Gage will appear in court before a private judge on October 3 to determine a permanent agreement. They are both seeking joint legal and physical custody.
