Is Gizelle Still Dating the Man She Brought to Karen’s Love Lagoon? “I’m Actually…”
Audiences got to know Nnamnse better after the pair enjoyed some salsa dancing in the most recent RHOP episode.
Love was in the air — and mermaids were in the pool — when Gizelle Bryant attended Karen Huger’s Love Lagoon-themed party on The Real Housewives of Potomac.
In RHOP Season 9, Episode 11, the Housewives and (most of) their men arrived at the Grand Dame’s daytime event, where Gizelle brought Nnamnse, the man she picked while speed dating in a previous episode. Things seemed to be off to a good start, especially after the pair enjoyed a hip-swaying salsa date earlier in the recent episode.
“Nnamnse, I like him,” Karen told producers. “I just think he won’t last a moment with Gizelle; he’s too nice.”
But was Karen’s prediction correct?
Are Gizelle and Nnamnse the guy from speed dating still dating?
In the Sunday, December 8, 2024 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Gizelle said one of her speed dating picks was still in her life.
“Well, they went away, and then they came back,” Gizelle teased.
While she didn’t specifically name Nnamnse, the 42-year-old man who likes to turn up has played Gizelle’s most recent love interest so far this season.
In Season 9, Episode 11, Gizelle and Nnamnse rode with Ashley Darby and her date, Josh, to Karen’s Love Lagoon, and it wasn’t until they were en route that Gizelle told Nnamnse that the party was all about love.
“Look, I just met Nnamnse, don’t really know him that well, but I told Karen that if I did meet a man that I was going to see again, that I would bring him to the love lagoon,” said Gizelle. “I’m introducing him to these lagooners, and we’re gonna see what happens.”
The episode ended when Jacqueline Blake — who was previously denied an invite when Mia Thornton requested one — came crashing Karen’s party.
Where did Gizelle and Nnamnse meet?
Nnamnse was Gizelle’s number one pick after she and Ashley tried their hand at speed dating in Season 9, Episode 10. During Round Four of the game, Nnamnse explained he was originally from Washington, D.C., but had moved to Miami, Florida, for school and work before returning to his hometown “a few years ago.”
Gizelle got Ashley’s nod of approval while at the initial meeting and went into a little more detail about a possible future with Nnamnse in the most recent RHOP episode.
“I’m about to have a house that’s empty, and it’s all about me and what I want and what I like,” Gizelle said in her confessional. “I’m excited about whatever the future holds. It’s like the sky’s the limit.”
What we know about Nnamnse
Earlier in Season 9, Episode 11, the pair met up for the first date at Washington, D.C.’s Hoja Taqueria for some drinks and fancy footwork.
“He doesn’t really know me that well, because he would know, like, I can’t do this,” Gizelle told producers of her salsa skills.
For his part, Nnamnse said he took dancing lessons while living in Miami and he wasn’t afraid to show Gizelle a move or two. During a “rapid-fire” round of Gizelle’s questions, audiences learned the never-married Nnamnse liked Michael Jordan and Biggie Smalls and had no criminal past.
The mother of two was concerned Nnamnse might not have been “rough around the edges,” the way she preferred her men. Still, there was plenty of promise.
“I’m actually enjoying myself, which is really all that needs to happen on a first date,” she confessed to producers. “You just need to have fun.”
