Here's How Jenna Lyons Met Her New Girlfriend: "It Was Laugh-y and Silly"
Cass Bird also revealed how she feels seeing her girlfriend, Jenna Lyons, become popular on The Real Housewives Of New York City.
Although we’re seeing Jenna Lyons go through a breakup onscreen Jenna has a smile on her face again these days, and it’s all due to photographer Cass Bird.
The Real Housewives of New York City cast member made her new romance public at the end of July, showing off her romantic trip with Cass Bird in the Mediterranean on social media.
Jenna and Cass are now clearing up the timeline of their relationship to The Cut, sharing they met between Season 14 of the show being filmed and it starting to air in July.
How did Jenna Lyons and girlfriend Cass Bird meet?
Cass agreed to speak to The Cut about her relationship with Jenna, revealing the couple met at a friend’s place in Brooklyn a few months ago — after Jenna’s breakup that is currently unfolding on RHONY, and Cass' breakup with longtime partner Ali Bird, with whom she has two children.

“It was laugh-y and silly,” Cass told The Cut about first meeting Jenna. “We hung out and were like, ‘Yep.’ She is an actual mutant. Which I know you know already.”
Since that meeting, Jenna has shared more of her relationship with Cass publicly. Besides their trip to Greece and the Mediterranean, as recently as last week Jenna posted this picture of her and Bird smiling together on her Instagram, writing, “No caption needed.”
The two also attended the J. Crew 40th Anniversary Celebration in New York together on Tuesday, Sept. 5. A photo of the pair kissing on the dance floor was all the buzz on Instagram after.
They were also photographed together at the event by Vogue.
Will we see Cass Bird on The Real Housewives Of New York City?
When asked how it feels to see her girlfriend on reality television, Cass responded by text to The Cut, “I love her to pieces and I don’t want anyone else to look at her is my response.”
The couple admitted to watching a few of the RHONY Season 14 episodes together, but not always in their entirety.
“I fast-forwarded a few of the parts,” Cass told The Cut.
Cass also made it clear she’s not eager to be seen on the show with Jenna. When asked if viewers would see her next season, Bird told The Cut, “Never.”
