Shocking! Heather Dubrow and Terry Dubrow Love Working Together But Won't Do This Again
The lifestyle experts reflect on that one business they launched on RHOC and if they regret it.
You might recall that back in the day, Heather Dubrow and Terry Dubrow teamed up on a champagne, aptly titled Collette as an homage to their daughter. It was one of the many businesses The Real Housewives of Orange County alums have teamed up on together throughout their two-decade plus relationship. But, Heather wasn't as into that particular business as you might expect from someone as devoted to bubbly as she is.
"There are certain things that kind of make sense for us to do that I don't want to do or Heather [doesn't want to do]. For example, we did a champagne line and it sold out right away," Terry recalled to The Daily Dish about that launch (captured in the video above).
And while his longtime love jokes that when it comes to business opportunities, "We'll do anything," that champagne launch and, let's say, the prospect of making carburetors, she doesn't feel fit in with the Dubrow brand at the moment.
"We did 300 cases. We called it Collette after our one daughter who had a French-sounding name 'cause, you know, I love the champs so I thought this would be fun," she said. "So we did it and it wasn't intended to be a big business. We just thought it would be fun. So we did the Collette and made the 300 cases, sold them out, and then [I thought], we're not in the alcohol business. I understood we could have kept making it and maybe someday we'll bring it back, because people are always asking us about it. It didn't seem like that was our business; that was our thing."
The Dubrows do have plenty of other business ventures. In fact, their brand is quite healthy thanks to their ongoing collaboration as husband and wife, which includes a myriad of projects, including their Consult Beaute beauty line as well as their new, just-released book, The Dubrow Diet.
"For us, it's all about health, wellness, and beauty. And that's really what we do together," Heather said. "That's what we do together 'cause what we want to do is let everyone know you don't have to spend a gazillion dollars to look and feel your absolute best. There's ways to do it."
