Have Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley Finally Set a Wedding Date?
The #RHOC alum gives #WWHL an update on her engagement.
During Season 8 of the Real Housewives of Orange County we got to witness the emotional moment when Gretchen Rossi proposed to Slade Smiley (and who could forget the song that accompanied it?!). Now, two years later, people are starting to question when or if they’ll tie the knot.
The former ‘Wife appeared on Watch What Happens Live Monday (September 21) and cleared the air with Andy Cohen on her current relationship status with Slade, and whether they’re actually going to take the plunge.
"The May 23rd date that we had —once we put that out there we found out that it was a holiday weekend, and we really didn’t look at that — we didn’t realize it was Memorial Day Weekend,” she explained. “So many of our family members already had trips planned and then Slade got booked to go do a mini-series in Mexico... It's just a lot of things.”
Andy then asked Gretchen about the state of Slade’s financial affairs, as it had been a point of contention in the past. “That has nothing to do with us getting married at this point,” she assured him, saying his finances are doing "much better" right now. “We’re going to get married. We just don’t have a date on the calendar right now.”
