Gretchen Rossi Makes a Big Announcement on Relationship with Slade: “Can’t Believe...”
RHOC alum Gretchen Rossi is about to hit a major milestone in her romance with Slade Smiley.
When Gretchen Rossi went public with her romance with Slade Smiley on Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, many of her castmates (and viewers!) were skeptical about the pairing; however, the couple continues to prove the doubters wrong.
For starters, Gretchen popped the question to Slade on Season 8 of RHOC, and the two welcomed their daughter, Skylar Gray Smiley, in July 2019.
Since completing their family, Gretchen has shared numerous updates about her partner and daughter on her Instagram feed. The latest came on January 5 when the California resident took to her Instagram Stories to do a Q&A with fans about her life since RHOC (she departed from the series after Season 8).
One fan wondered how long Gretchen and Slade had been together, and how old Skylar was.
"I can't believe I am saying this but 16 [years] next month," Gretchen responded alongside a photo of her and Slade. "Time flies. [And] Sky is [five years old]."

Another asked Gretchen if she would rather get dressed up or go "camping in the woods."
She wrote, "Honestly, I can do both very well. I can go from super glam to camping outside in the desert. (We grew up doing that [and] riding motorcycles). So just depends on my mood and the occasion."
A third fan also asked the mom of one if she cleans her California home herself, or if she hires anyone to help.
"I've had housekeepers in the past [and] was always disappointed in their work, so I took it all on," she replied. "It's a lot of work on top of working full time, but at least it's done the way I like."
Gretchen Rossi reflects on recent life "lessons" and "hard days"
As 2024 was coming to a close, the former orange holder took to her Instagram feed to share a video featuring her top moments from the year.
"Goodbye 2024! Thank you for all the lessons!" she captioned the post. "So many amazing memories made with my little family, but also many hard days along the way. Remember social media is everyone’s highlight reel[,] So that doesn’t mean there isn’t bad with the good, but we get to choose how to move through the struggles. I’m so grateful for my faith and the ability to lean on him during the rough patches. Thank you to my incredible family and my wonderful friends for always helping make life feel so magical!"
She continued, "Grateful to you all on here for all the love and support throughout the years! It means so very much to us. Looking forward to 2025..."
