Gina Kirschenheiter Transformed Her Bedroom into a Moody, Cozy Haven (VIDEO)
We're obsessed with The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member's aesthetic changes to her primary bedroom.
Gina Kirschenheiter has made some eye-catching upgrades to the Mission Viejo home she purchased in early 2020.
In the video tour you can watch above, The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member shows off the entirety of her beautiful home, including her primary bedroom. In an October 22 Instagram video, however, we noticed a few changes Gina made to that bedroom.
As the California mom woke up from her slumber in the video, the first thing that caught our eye was the deep charcoal gray accent wall behind the bed. Additionally, we noticed Gina swapped out her old tufted beige bed frame for a light gray one. She also seemed to update the bedding, with white sheets and a textured white comforter.
In contrast to the image below, we noticed Gina changed out the artwork behind her bed, removing the "my happy place" wall art and mounting a large muted cream and blush-colored piece. She also added bamboo shades for the windows.
See the image below of Gina's old bedroom, with its lighter feel and large, sparkly silver-lined mirror. It seems the New York native went for a more moody, boho-chic aesthetic with the new updates!
One thing that hasn't changed? Gina's location. "One of my favorite things is I can actually be in my bedroom and I can look out and see my kids on the field running around at recess at the school and I can hear the school bell," she shares in the video tour above. "I think hearing the bell just makes me feel more connected to my kids and I love that."
Gina Kirschenhetier's Renovated Kids' Rooms
Speaking of her children, on Season 18, Episode 13 of RHOC, Gina revealed she renovated her three kids' rooms and made some upgrades. (Gina shares three children, Nicholas, Sienna, and Luca, with her ex, Matt Kirschenheiter.)
"Let me show you the rooms," Gina said to Emily Simpson in the October 3 episode. When the friends entered Gina's son Nick's room, Emily was so impressed with the black-and-white aesthetic and New York City mural behind his bed.
"This is cool, Nick! I love the New York skyline," Emily exclaimed about the room, which also had a large black desk and a bed with grey bedding, a white throw blanket, and a throw pillow with a smiley face print.
Gina, Emily, and Nick then moved into Sienna and Luca's room, which Gina revealed was renovated with two raised bunk beds with ladders and shelving underneath.
"Oh my gosh, this is so fun!" Emily gushed. "This looks huge!"
Moreover, Gina installed a fire poll stemming from the tops of the bunk beds to the floor for an easy and swift exit. "Try it, Mom!" Nick said as Gina took a swing at sliding down the pool to the floor.
"I'd be the world's worst stripper," Gina joked about the task at hand.
