Garcelle Shares the Real Reason She Didn't Reach Out to Dorit After PK Split Announcement

Garcelle Beauvais says her friendship with Dorit Kemsley is nonexistent. But she’s hoping that’ll change someday.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom addressed the rocky relationship in a recent interview with Deadline, just months after Dorit confirmed her marital split from Paul “PK” Kemsley. The estranged couple announced the decision in a since-deleted Instagram post that touched on their “struggles over the last few years.”

Dorit later revealed that only two of her castmates checked in on her after the shocking announcement — and Garcelle wasn’t one of them.
“We weren’t in a good place after we finished the [Season 13] reunion so that it would have felt very hypocritical,” Garcelle said about her decision not to reach out to Dorit. “I felt for her, and I said so when I was interviewed on red carpets, but it would have felt hypocritical if I reached out to her because we weren’t in a good space.”
Garcelle went on to say she and Dorit took some positive steps while filming Season 14, which will shed more light on Dorit and PK’s marital woes; however, Garcelle said she and the Beverly Beach boss still had unresolved issues.
“We got to a better place,” she said. “It’s really hard to tell you [as] the season is new. I don’t know what’s being said, whether online [or] offline, so hopefully one day we can resolve it and be friends.”
Dorit expected more support from her castmates after PK split
In a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Dorit spoke candidly about her castmates’ reaction to her separation. The mother of two confessed she expected a wave of support from her fellow ’Wives, but she only heard from Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne.
“Naively, I actually thought going into the group, because so many women in the group had had this experience, that I would be around support,” Dorit said on the RHOBH After Show. “Like, that everyone would at least say, ‘Listen, I know. I’ve been there.’ So, lend some type of support, and oh boy, was I wrong.”
Kyle explains why she hesitated to reach out to Dorit amid their feud
Kyle admitted she was hesitant to contact Dorit after the separation announcement, as she and Dorit weren't on good terms, but she ultimately chose to send a message after speaking to Erika.
“I wrote a text to both of them (Dorit and PK) and I was in a total panic about what to do,” Kyle said on the RHOBH After Show. “I sent it to PK and was like, I want to send this (to Dorit) but I’m so scared. A) She’s going to show it; B) She is going to think I’m being manipulative by sending her a nice supportive text… So I called Erika and I’m like, ‘I’m really in a pickle. I don’t know what to do.’ And [Erika] told me none of the cast had reached out [to Dorit] and it really broke my heart.”
