It's not just romantic drama that rules over the Below Deck Mediterranean universe — that much is made clear in the above preview for Season 9, Episode 15 (set to air Monday, September 9), as it shows Joe Bradley and Gael Cameron finally hashing out their issues that have been simmering for a few weeks.

As fans might recall, Gael has been unhappy with the way fellow deckhand Joe has been treating stewardesses Bri Muller and Elena "Ellie" Dubaich, and the drama has spread into their own co-working relationship.

"Let's talk, come on," says Joe after approaching Gael, who is busy harnessing a jet-ski to the yacht. "I don't wanna upset you."

"I don't know what you're problem is with me," Gael responds. "I mean, I try to put my head down and try to do sh-t to make you happy. But sometimes you're a prick and I know you convince yourself you're not. I don't know. I realize I'm just trying to make a guy happy who's going to be an ass to me."

When Joe asked how exactly he's been an ass, the deckhand has her list at the ready. "Calling me a princess here, and you know you mean it in a sh-tty way. You just turn around like you've gotta check my work to make sure I'm working," Gael says.

Then, in flashbacks, fans are treated to a number of times Joe has checked in on Gael. "You think I get treated differently? You think I don't work as much? Tell me," she adds. "Tell me honestly. It's fine, I can take it. Like, if you think I don't work enough..."

Slightly disgruntled, Joe tells Gael to stop putting words in his mouth and let him speak, noting, "We've only got two charters left. Believe what you want to believe, but I know what I believe.

"If you're going to be a prick to me, I'm just not going to give you my time of day," Gael responds, to which Joe says, "That could be paranoia on your side, but I'm not like that one bit. Have I ever raised my voice or anything like that?"

Gael's reply? "No, but you're being a prick."

In a confessional, Gael gives some more insight into her mindset.

"People have a lot of preconceptions of me because I did dance, I did a pageant. But dude, I also played rugby and I'm on deck. I work my ass off not to be labeled as a princess," she says. "Words don't trigger me, intentions trigger me. He thinks I'm not a team player or that I'm getting special treatment, because it's not the case. Don't characterize me like that, don't act like you know me, because you obviously don't."

Where do Joe Bradley and Gael Cameron stand now?

Ultimately, Joe apologizes to Gael. "I'm sorry if I made you feel like that," he says in the Below Deck Med preview. "It wasn't intentional."

Gael's one rule moving forward? No more calling her a princess. He agrees, and they seal the deal with a hug.

"If you've got a problem with me, just say it, because I like to know when I'm doing something wrong," she adds.

In a confessional, Joe shares more of his thoughts. "I'm just trying to do a good job as lead deckhand. I can feel the heat rising, so I just want to calm it down. I don't hold a grudge, and I'm hoping that Gael doesn't hold a grudge," he explains.
