Fredrik Eklund Reveals What Has Husband Derek Kaplan Feeling "Happiness and Peace" These Days
The Million Dollar Listing New York agent teased what's next for his family with some major updates and pretty epic news.
Fredrik Eklund is counting his blessings this holiday season— and looking forward to possibly having one more. The Million Dollar Listing New York agent recently shared his gratitude list. In addition to enumerating the things he's most grateful for in life, the father of two teased a major update on his family.
In the November 23 Instagram post, the Sweden native wrote: "I wrote a little gratitude-list this Thanksgiving." One of the items on that list was: "Derek’s and my endless talks about a third baby, which is part of the journey itself, weighing the pros and cons and finding true meaning in it all… and how we are slowly coming to a positive conclusion."
You heard it here first: Baby number three is possibly on the way for Fredrik and his husband Derek Kaplan. That means that their adorable twins Freddy and Milla — who are now six years old — might soon become big siblings.

The super agent's gratitude list included a heartwarming update on his kiddos. "The kids learning to spell and write and their journey growing up so fast, looking back and realizing we DID it, we actually are great parents (I think all parents question ourselves here) and Milla and Freddy are the most special little humans with such big generous hearts and how our love for them supersede all our expectations," he wrote.
What Fredrik Eklund's husband, Derek Kaplan, is doing today
As for Derek, it seems he's had a great year in his art career. Fredrik acknowledged: "Derek’s happiness and peace in his new art studio."

Derek's not the only one who's finding happiness in his job. In his post, Fredrik announced: "It seems our year-end numbers will end up just below $4B which is pretty amazing considering the high interest-rates… last year our total number was $4.1B and 2021 was $4.6B, the two best years in real estate history. We have something so unique on this team, and I’m taking them all to Tulum in January for our annual team/family trip to celebrate the success under the palm trees."
All of Fredrik's hard work is balanced with a commitment to self-care. In October, the real-estate whiz celebrated three years of sobriety, which he acknowledged in his Thanksgiving post. "3 years of no alcohol and counting," he wrote, later describing his "joyous" relationship to his own body.
Fredrik also noted that he's grateful: "To have returned to my old ways of a more joyous relationship to myself and my own body, being in the best shape ever which I don’t say lightly at 46."
