Exclusive: LuAnn de Lesseps' Daughter's Art Is a Hot Commodity
Mom says she's "so happy and proud" at the response to Victoria's drawings and paintings.
Not only did the premiere episode of The Real Housewives of New York City show you three new 'Wives, it also gave the world its first glimpse of the artistic talents Victoria de Lesseps -- the 17-year-old daughter of LuAnn De Lesseps -- has been blessed with.
After LuAnn held a little art show displaying Victoria's artwork for her friends in the Hamptons, the Countess tells us exclusively that she's been "getting a lot of responses and questions about her art." So much so that LuAnn has posted the drawings to her site in order to fulfill the demands for prints that have been pouring in.
The proud mom says she's "super happy" for her daughter, who has "been drawing since she was a kid and she really has her own style." LuAnn tells us that Victoria "went to Parsons in Paris last July and took art history and drawing and she loved it. Last night she was in the garage painting til 11. She's really into it and it's so nice to see that passion she has for her work."
Victoria, who will be heading off to art school in the fall, certainly didn't get her art skills from her mom. "I can't draw a rabbit," LuAnn confessed with a laugh. In the past, Victoria leaned her drawing talents towards fashion, drawing and sketching dresses and shoes before turning her brushes on canvas. There's even a new piece that LuAnn describe to us, which she explained as: "It's a full-size woman that looks like Grace Jones, even though she doesn't know who Grace Jones is, and the proportions are just perfect ... It's this strong woman's body, and she has all these smaller kind of women that are forming the parts of the body. The eyes, the nose, the hands and the feet -- it's incredible. I'm just blown away by her passion and by her ability and detail and her gift."
