Eva Marcille Just Experienced A Career “First”: "I Did a Thing..."

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum took to her Instagram account where she revealed how she's expanding her career.

By Casey Suglia

Eva Marcille is a true lover of the arts. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum is a model, actress, television host, and entrepreneur, with many credits to her name. But, over the weekend, she marked a new career first for herself, by hosting a fireside chat at the Makush Ethiopian Art Symposium in Atlanta.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Eva took to her Instagram Feed on Saturday, where she posted a video of her in her home before making her way to the art gallery. The video captured all of her pre-event jitters, as she screamed in excitement while walking down the stairs in her home. "I am so excited and so terrified, all at the same time," she explained in the video.

"It's like, my first day on set with a brand new character," she continued. "I hope the artists are happy with what we've curated, I hope the gallerist is happy with what we've brought to this gallery, and I hope that Atlanta learns a lot more about amazing Ethiopian art."

All About Eva Marcille's "First Art Show"

In the caption of the video, Eva explained the reason behind her nerves. "So I did a thing today..." she wrote. "My first art show, walked through the fear."

One day earlier, Eva took to Instagram where she posted a photo of the flier from the event, and talked about this new part of her career. "To know me is to know my love for Art [is] special," she wrote in the caption. "However, this fire I have inside of me for finding new artist[s] and showing the world has been ignited for quite some time and is not going out. I am extremely excited while honestly BEYOND nervous about my first art show."

The event brought together "art enthusiasts, collectors, curators, and artists from around Atlanta to celebrate and explore the rich cultural heritage of Ethiopian art." This includes Eva, who highlighted the art featured in the show in several posts to her Instagram account following the event.

Her enthusiasm for the artists and love of the art is so apparent. Especially since she is constantly posting photos of art to her Instagram account and is constantly spreading love to artists.

Eva Marcille's Recent Life Updates on Instagram

Eva literally surrounded herself with art and color in a series of photos, posted to her Instagram account, ahead of the art show. In the photos, Eva can be seen sitting at a paint-covered piano in an art gallery, wearing a pink plastic poncho, while giving her Instagram followers a tour of the paint covered-space.

"Afternoon joy," Eva captioned the series of photos.

But this wasn't the only big event that Eva attended this month. Earlier in August, Eva went all the way to Paris where she attended the Olympics. The mom of three served some serious looks outside of the games, while also posing in front of a Louis Vuitton store. Eva also posted several videos that she took from the track and field events, and revealed the main reason why she went to the Olympics — to cheer on Olympic medalist, Sha'Carri Richardson.

"Came to Paris to see you Boo and you did it," Eva wrote in the caption of a video taken from one of Sha'Carri's events at the Olympics.
