Erin and Abe Lichy Gush about Ubah Hassan’s Boyfriend: “It’s a Beautiful Thing”
The RHONY couple share some Ubah sweet details about the couple and their red carpet debut.
Erin and Abe Lichy have nothing but wonderful things to say about Ubah Hassan’s boyfriend.
The RHONY season 14 cast member attended the American Ballet Theatre Fall Gala with her boyfriend, Oliver Dachsel, last week at Lincoln Center in New York, Page Six reported. The event marked their red carpet debut as a couple.
Bravo fans learned of the elusive “Mr. Connecticut” when Ubah’s private life made its way through the RHONY ladies' circle during the final episodes of the season, sparking tension between them.
Coming off the heels of the reveal, the Lichys spoke to The Daily Dish about how happy they are for Ubah.

“When I look at them together, I’m like, I get like giddy and excited,” Erin told The Daily Dish. “Since I’m obviously married for so long, there’s nothing more exciting to me to watch a friend go through those stages.”

Ubah’s beau is already getting along with the RHONY husbands. Abe Lichy spoke highly of Dachsel to The Daily Dish.
“It feels like they balance well too,” Abe said. “Oliver is just a sweet guy, not that [Ubah's] not sweet, but he seems like a very levelheaded, calm, patient person and I think they complement each other very well. I’m really happy for them.”
When asked why Ubah didn’t bring him on the show while filming RHONY, Erin said it might not have been natural to bring him on during the earlier stages of their relationship: “They had just started dating.”
Ubah previously spoke about keeping her dating life under wraps to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live.
“I think I kept it a secret because I’m so tired because every time I meet someone, I want everyone to see. Like my dog and everyone, and if it doesn’t work, then I have to go back and tell everyone it doesn’t work,” Ubah said on WWHL.
Ubah keeping her budding relationship private until now makes sense, Erin told The Daily Dish.

“Everyone keeps asking me, like do you think it’s fair that you have to show your life and she doesn’t have to show hers?” Erin said. “But she’s not hiding someone she’s been with for five years. It was very new and raw.”
Touching on the “joyful moment for them” Erin said she’s so happy for the couple, adding they’re “really cute and perfect together.”
“Actually, I think it says a lot about the relationship ... that they decided to go public,” Erin said smiling.
