Erika Jayne Explains Why Divorcing Tom Girardi Is the "Least of [Her] Concerns"
RHOBH's Erika Jayne also revealed if she's dating anyone special these days.
It's been more than four years since Erika Jayne filed for divorce from Tom Girardi, but the split is still not finalized.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member confirmed that she has "not finalized the divorce" during a recent chat with Entertainment Tonight.
Explaining why, Erika said, "Tom will be sentenced next month, and then who knows?"
"Being divorced is the least of my concerns," she concluded.
Is Erika Jayne dating anyone?
The "XXPEN$IVE" singer is single, she confirmed during an exclusive chat with The Daily Dish on November 13.
"I mean, am I dating? The answer is yes. Am I open to dating? Yes. Is there anyone in particular I'm dating? No, but I will say this, the women in my cast, we need — we're all single, because there's not a man to be found — we need to get out and socialize a little bit," she said.
The mom of one knows exactly what she's looking for in her next partner.
"I really need somebody to be intelligent. Please. Please, be intelligent and have the ability to hold a real conversation," she shared. "I can't. I'm just at a place in my life where I must have someone who can have a back and forth conversation, and I don't want to have it over text with a whole bunch of emojis. I'm a grown up. Talk to me."
Erika Jayne opens up about the demise of her marriage to Tom Girardi
While appearing on Bravo's Hot Mic Podcast in mid-November 2024, Erika explained how her 20-year marriage to Tom changed over the years.
"The great thing about Tom when I was married to him was he did want me to succeed," Erika said about how her estranged husband supported her performing dreams. "Now, is he egotistical and narcissistic and [it] obviously went down in flames and the ending was terrible and heartbreaking? Yes. But at his core, did he want me to do well? Yes."
She continued, "I think that’s why we stayed married so long was because I did feel supported in those areas until it took a turn."
Erika added, "Tom never once said you can’t say this, you can’t do that. You can’t perform like this. You shouldn’t wear that. He was always 100%. He believed in my choices as an individual, but when he started to decline and I think the wheels fell off for him, obviously his personality changed and his focus changed from supporting me to almost, like, resenting me."
Would Erika Jayne get married again?
Once Erika's divorce is finalized, would she ever consider walking down the aisle again?
"I don’t need to be contractually bound to another man ever," she told ET. "That’s not something I need to do at this point. I’m out there. I’m single, and I should be having fun."
Erika has spent most of her adult life as a married woman. Before Erika wed Tom Girardi, she was married to her son Tommy Zizzo's father (who is also named Tom Zizzo).
