Erika Jayne Sheds New Light on Her Divorce and Legal Issues: “Still Being Sued”

Erika Jayne opened up about her split from Tom Girardi four years after the drama started on the RHOBH After Show.

There are plenty of new splits to contend with on Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but that doesn't mean we can't also pay attention to the old ones, too — take Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi's, for example.

In the above episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, which aired after Season 14, Episode 5, Erika shared an update on her dramatic split and all of the legal woes that came along with it.

"It'll be four years in like two weeks that I left home and everything happened. Yeah, four years. So in that four years I've been able to accept a lot of things, heal through a lot of things, and I will continue to do that," Erika began. "And I'm almost — I'm not completely out of the woods, I'm still being sued in a lot of places — but those things will resolve."

"It just kind of ... it is what it is," she added. "I just try to maintain the healthiest attitude possible going forward."

Why Erika Jayne felt unsupported by the RHOBH cast during her divorce from Tom

On the show itself, Erika's therapist stopped by her house for a session. While chatting, she discussed feeling unsupported by her own friend group while the divorce proceedings were at their worst.

Erika eleborated on this during the RHOBH After Show. "I would've liked to have had a pizza party," she said in reference to the get-together that Sutton Stracke threw for Kyle Richards earlier in the season to get her mind off of her own split. "I would've preferred a pizza party instead of judgement or criticism. I've often felt like because of what was being said around my separation that I was being judged for things that others did, and I was the outward-facing person so that somehow or another, everything that was being said — whether it was about Girardi Keese [Law Firm] or Tom Girardi — landed right here."

At the same time, Erika noted that her experience allowed her to be more empathetic to those going through their own breakups.

"I never wanted to do that to others. I know what it's like when, number one, you can't speak. Even smiling the wrong way or saying something gets picked apart and in legal circles gets used against you," she said. "The press was ugly. It was just a hard time. It was just really hard time."

Where does Erika Jayne stand with her RHOBH castmates in the aftermath of her split from Tom?

Four years after the drama began going down, Erika's relationship with the rest of the RHOBH cast is on more solid ground.

"I feel better in the group now than I did then. Also, too, I feel better about myself. So that also shapes my attitude towards the group," she explained on the RHOBH After Show. "Certain things don't hurt as much, but then there will be some random thing like the [fight in the sprinter van] that takes me over the edge. It's a work in progress, really."
