Erika Jayne is Returning To Her Roots For The Holidays: "It's Been A Long Time" (EXCLUSIVE)

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member told The Daily Dish about her big plans for the holiday season.

By Casey Suglia

Erika Jayne could be finally going home to Atlanta this holiday season. Despite living in sunny Southern California, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member is a Georgia peach at heart, and has "nothing" holding her back from returning to her roots this holiday season.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

In a recent interview with The Daily Dish in November, Erika revealed that she will likely be spending some time with her mom, Renee Chahoy, this holiday season. Although she has not decided on where she will be celebrating the holidays, she seems ready to revisit the past. Whether it's at her "little Spanish bungalow" in California, or at her mom's place in her hometown. "I think I may go see my mom for the holidays," she told The Daily Dish in an exclusive interview. "Either she will come here — which I hope not, because you drive me insane — but I will probably go to my mom's."

After her beloved dog Tiago's passing in 2023, Erika explained that she's free to travel as much as she wants — which includes spending time on the down South. "It's been a long time since I've been home to Atlanta for the holidays, so I think that this might be a good year," she continued. "I don't have a dog, I don't have anything holding me [back] so, it'd be nice to go."

Erika Jayne opens up about her relationship with her mother, Renee

During RHOBH Season 13, Episode 5, Erika opened up about her complicated relationship with her mom, revealing that growing up wasn't easy for her. "My mother and I are very close — in age," she explained in a confessional during the episode. "And a lot of times, growing up, she felt like a sibling instead of a parent. We had a good f-cking time, she and I. I would sneak around and go clubbing with her and her friends."

"My mother and I have had our good times and our bad times," she later explained in the episode. "And yes, there have been times that I didn't want to talk to my mom. She visits me in LA about once a year for a couple days and then we start getting on each other's nerves."

Erika Jayne says she doesn't go home to Atlanta "enough"

After leaving the Peach State for NYC in 1989, Erika told BravoTV.com in 2017 that she doesn't get to go home as often as she would like. "I don't get home to Atlanta enough, and it's changed so much since I left in '89," she said.

"I watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta because it reminds me of home and I get to see home," she continued.

Inside Erika Jayne's journey on RHOBH Season 14

Viewers will get to see more of Erika (in California) in RHOBH Season 14. In the current season of the show, which premiered on Nov. 19, according to her cast bio, "It's out with the old and in with the new as Erika Jayne sheds her old life by getting rid of furniture she's held onto from her marriage. Though her legal issues aren't completely gone, she can finally breathe and move forward. Just as things are looking up, Erika finds herself playing middleman between friends, Kyle [Richards] and Dorit [Kemsley], forcing her to navigate rocky terrain."

See this and more when The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Tuesday evenings at 8 p.m. on Bravo. Episodes will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
