Slim Shady is rocking more than a fuzzy 5 o'clock shadow right now.
If you run into someone that looks a lot like Eminem except for two prominent features, don't doubt yourself — you might actually be seeing the real Slim Shady. The rapper is now rocking a beard and dark hair, as seen in a photo he posted to Instagram, arm-in-arm with Dr. Dre and Kendrick Lamar at the premiere of HBO's The Defiant Ones.
"Just a couple of guys from Compton and one from Detroit," he wrote. "With a beard."
Beards have been a recurring lyrical motif in some of Eminem's songs. "Grow your beard out, just weird out," he raps on "Berzerk." "Can't leave rap alone, the game needs me 'til we grow beards, get weird and disappear," he rhymes on "Business."
Social media has swiftly responded with many a meme, including one that sees some similarities between Em and one of his past paramours.
Em had a more familiar look when he was interviewed for The Defiant Ones:
His manager Paul Rosenberg polled people about it on Twitter and found that 41% want him to shave it, but 59% want him to save it.
