Emily Simpson’s 12-Foot Christmas Tree Just Made Our Jaws Drop (PHOTO)
The Real Housewives of Orange County mom shared a peek at her 2024 holiday decor at home.
Emily Simpson is decorating her home for the holidays in epic fashion.
On December 4, The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member took to her Instagram Stories to reveal how she enlisted her son Luke to help her decorate a "12-foot tree" in their home's high-ceiling living room (get a full tour of Emily and Shane Simpson's California house in the video above).
The Christmas tree was enormous and so festive, reaching up to the second-floor of the house. Though Emily's daughter, Annabelle, and other son, Luke's twin, Keller, weren't present for the decorating session, Luke did an amazing job helping Mom put up the glowing lights plus white, silver, and gold ornaments.
In addition to the tree, we also spotted more holiday-ready decor in the living room, including small white tree figurines plus gold-and-blue ornaments on the coffee table. Emily also hung white and red stockings over the mantle area for an elegant touch.
Emily Simpson's Home Renovations
Emily's living room — with or without Christmas decor — is a sight to see. Another gorgeous spot in her home? The kitchen, which she recently revealed had a major renovation.
"It’s not close to being done," Emily exclusively shared with The Daily Dish about her family's home. The mom of three, however, noted that "most of the downstairs and kitchen" were redone.
Though the project has taken longer than expected, the results are already stunning, as you can see in the photos below.
"We renovated most of the downstairs: the kitchen is remodeled, the flooring is all new," Emily explained via email. "We knocked out a wall in the kitchen area and [added] a large trifold cantina door. One fireplace was completely renovated, while a second fireplace was torn out and renovated into a new built-in. A lot of things such as lighting, ceilings, etc. were renovated downstairs as well."
The kitchen in particular is Emily's most beloved renovation project.
"My favorite room in the house is the kitchen," she shared. "It’s so bright and sleek and modern now. It makes me feel happy! I love to make really big colorful flower arrangements for the new countertop."
The West Coast mom further explained why she decided to take on renovations now, considering how the family has lived in the abode for several years.
"We decided to renovate now because the children are older and it felt like the right time," Emily stated. "We could order food, or go out to eat, or make toast on the floor, which was much easier to do with older children."
"The home is beautiful," she added. "But it had not had any updates since it was built in the '90s."
