Eileen Davidson: Real Housewives Is 'So Surreal!'

The new star opens up about joining the show.

Like her fellow newcomer Lisa Rinna, Eileen Davidson has plenty of experience dealing with drama as a legend of soap operas like Young and the Restless. So what's it like to get thrown into the drama with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

"It's so surreal!" she tells the Dish about joining the show for the new season. "But also very exciting and a little nerve wracking. I'm used to scripts when I'm being filmed so this has been a new experience!"

That's not to say she didn't have a blast—and she says there are plenty of ups-and-downs this season. (Judging by the trailer, Eileen will come face-to-face with Brandi Glanville.) "It's like being on a roller coaster," Eileen says. "And you can all take the ride with me!"

Prior to joining the show, Eileen made her mark playing Ashley Abbot on the daytime series The Young and the Restless and as Kristen DiMera on Days of Our Lives. She's also a published author, with four novels to her name. When she's not working, Eileen, who is married to Vincent Van Patten, spends her time playing tennis, surfing, and raising her son Jesse and step children Duke and Vinny.
