Dr Simone Whitmore Michael College Update

Dr. Simone Whitmore’s son, Michael, is making big strides and keeping busy in college! The Married to Medicine mom took to social media to share a recent update on her youngest son’s sophomore year at Auburn University in Alabama.

How to Watch

Watch Married to Medicine premiering November 24 on Bravo. Now streaming on Peacock and the Bravo App.

“If another person asks me, how’s @michaelwhitmoree adjusting to college, I guess he’s somewhere studying!” wrote Dr. Simone in the caption to one of several Instagram videos of Michael living his best life on the basketball court with his fellow Auburn University Tigers teammates.

An October 10 Instagram post in the series shows a short clip of Michael celebrating after a basketball game.

“‘We lit’ means @michaelwhitmoree has ADJUSTED to the college life!” wrote Dr. Simone in the caption, quoting Michael alongside a video of him celebrating after a game. She added the hashtags, “living his best life,” “do not return to sender,” and “I’m done.”

“I am always worried about @michaelwhitmoree being able to make new friends!” Dr. Simone wrote in the caption alongside a post of Michael surrounded by the Auburn Tigers cheer squad. She also included three laughing-crying emojis and the hashtags, “nevermind” and “he kicks it.”

Dr. Simone shared in a previous update that Michael had transferred from Lee University in Tennessee to Auburn University to play for their basketball team, the Auburn Tigers. Based on Dr. Simone’s latest Instagram post, Michael has had no problem adjusting to college life.

The Married to Medicine OBGYN, along with her husband, Cecil Whitmore, have previously highlighted how central basketball is in their son's life. "He wants to play basketball throughout college," Cecil told Bravo Insider earlier this year. "But he’s also talking about, when he graduates, going to law school, which I think he’ll be great at because he is definitely a talker."

"Yes," Dr. Simone added in the interview. "And he can debate and argue his side for anything — to keep his little butt out of trouble."

The mother-son duo have always shown love and support for each other, with Michael previously sharing how appreciative he is of Dr. Simone in a February 23 birthday post he dedicated to her.

"Happy birthday to my twin, my rock, my other half, and most importantly, my mom. I put you through hell in 2020, but I’m spending [every day] of 2021 trying to make you proud," Michael wrote in the caption. "I love you more than words can ever describe and I wish I could shower you with hugs and kisses for your birthday. Live it up, It’s [your] day."
