Dorit Kemsley Clarifies Her "Choice" to Dye Her Hair Brown: Find Out What She *Just* Revealed

When fans first met Dorit Kemsley, the fashionista was as known for her glossy blonde hair as she was for the designer clothes and labels she often wears. Though, Dorit's look has evolved more recently and, as viewers have noticed, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member has been rocking a darker shade of hair and slightly more subdued fashions.

During Part 2 of the RHOBH Season 13 reunion, Dorit revealed her reasoning for wearing a darker hair color than her signature blonde: "Nobody is going to put me on a budget."
"One has nothing to do with the other," she continued. "The dark hair, I was ready for a change... The brown hair was just a choice. I'm not on a budget by my husband."
When reunion host Andy Cohen asked if she was on a budget at all, she said, "I'm not on a budget."
Previously, Dorit shared more details on why she decided to go to the dark side in an interview in 2023.
“I just felt like I needed change. Being a blonde, it’s very high-maintenance,” the RHOBH cast member told Page Six Style in an interview in April 2023. “And I’m so high-maintenance as it is, I just feel like my hair should not be as high-maintenance!”
At the time, she called the shade "honey bronde," adding that it encouraged her to "explore other elements" of her style, which is "representative" of her mood. She continued, “I don’t know why I take this upon myself and create more work for myself, but I’m so particular about it. So, I think the brown hair for me … I wanted something fresh, I wanted something different and it felt like, ‘You know what? It’s about time.’”

More recently, she spoke to BravoTV.com about how her style has changed after she experienced a traumatic home invasion in 2021. "The last couple of years, I feel like I found myself feeling like I wanted to be covered up a lot, and I think it mirrored what was happening inside of me; the vulnerability, and the fear, and a lot of the things that are associated with some of the feelings that I've had," she shared backstage at the Season 13 reunion. "I had some [fashion] moments, but I wasn't taking too many risks."
