Did Rod Stewart Just Throw Shade at Elton John's Retirement?
Can you feel the shade tonight?
The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Clubhouse was filled with musical star power on March 21. Andy Cohen's guests, Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper, have partnered up on a North American tour that kicks off in June, and will hit some 30 cities.
While dishing with Andy, the duo chatted up their own upcoming shows. And, Stewart also spoke about a fellow musician's tour ... and, um, temper tantrums.
A caller asked Stewart: "What was your reaction to your friend Elton John storming off stage in Vegas and him announcing that he is retiring from touring?" In case you missed it: Stewart was recently a tad displeased with fans who gathered onstage at his Vegas show, and took a few expletive-laced moments to express his dismay before exiting the stage for a while. And John has also stated that he'll retire after his 300-date, three-year "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" tour.
About that feisty moment in Sin City: "I can see why he got pissed off," Stewart shared, adding that the fan who had come onstage was a bit too touchy. Stewart went on to discuss his friend's plans to retire — and there might have been a little jab in his comments. Take a peek at the clip above to hear what he had to say!
