"It's definitely a thing," Alexis Wolfer, editor of The Beauty Bean, told ABC News of the practice sometimes referred to as "dermaplaning." "One reason men are thought to get fewer wrinkles is that they're constantly exfoliating their faces every time they shave, literally shaving away the outermost layers of skin and encouraging your skin to create new layers."

That's exactly what Caroline's been telling us all this time!

After her daily ritual was revealed again on an episode of Manzo'd with Children last fall, Caroline blogged, "Once again, they’ve got me shaving my face on national television. Let me make something clear and hopefully answer your questions once and for all: I shave my face as a method of exfoliating my skin. I don’t shave because I have a hairy face!"

Caroline Manzo's Nightly Beauty Routine

While Wolfer suggests using sugar to buff off a mask of greek yogurt and honey as a better way to exfoliate your face, Caroline maintains that her razor is responsible for her enviable skin. "I've been practicing this for over 10 years, and I haven’t grown any facial hair because of it, and I have beautiful skin with minimal wrinkles. I think this should clarify any questions."
