Denise Richards Defends Her Husband Aaron Phypers: “I Don’t Understand..."
RHOBH's Denise Richards also shared the secret to her and Aaron's marriage.
Denise Richards is happily in love with her husband Aaron Phypers, but she's fully aware that not everyone's a big fan of their relationship.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum admitted as much in a recent interview with Us Weekly. As she put it, "I love being married. I love my husband. I know not everyone does. I don’t understand them. But we like each other, and love being with each other.”
Denise went on to share one of her biggest pieces of relationship advice for other couples hoping to be not just partners or parents, but also, "best friends."
“I say this to other couples with children, I always say you have to have time for yourself," explained Denise, who's a mom to daughters Sami, 20; Lola, 19; and Eloise, 13. "Don’t feel guilty. If this ain’t working, it starts at the top and sh-t rolls down. If [your marriage] stays strong, your family is intact."
One way to maintain strength? "Have a staycation with your husband or wife," Denise suggested. "Just keep your connection."
Who is Denise Richards married to?
As previously mentioned, Denise Richards is married to Aaron Phypers. RHOBH viewers met 52-year-old Aaron — who practices frequency medicine in Los Angeles — during Season 9 after he began dating Denise in December 2017. Fast-forward to September 2018, and Aaron and Denise were officially married. Their Malibu wedding played out on RHOBH Season 9, Episode 7.
"I am so happy to officially be married to the love of my life,” Denise told The Daily Dish at the time. “I can't wait for everyone to go on this incredible journey with me this season on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It has been a wild ride so far!"
Details on Denise Richards' upcoming reality TV show
Denise will soon make her return to reality TV, and this time, her family will be joining her. It was announced back in June that Denise Richards and the Wild Things (working title) — described as "a half-hour comedic docuseries starring and executive produced by Denise Richards" — is coming to E! in 2025.
"Sami and Lola were just 3 and 4 years old when we first shared our story and now we’ve come full circle,” Denise said in a statement at the time, referencing her 2008 E! series, Denise Richards: It's Complicated. “Alex Baskin and I met when I joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and I loved doing that show. This is the perfect partnership for our family’s series as our lives are full of fun, love and unpredictability, and we can’t wait for the audience to share this adventure with us.”
