Danielle Staub Blames these Two Housewives for Ruining Her Relationship with Teresa Giudice
Danielle gets real about reconciling with her former foe.
On this season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, we saw former ‘Wife Danielle Staub come back to the show. Upon her return, it seemed she had put the majority of the drama from seasons one and two behind her. She even became friends with some of her former enemies, most notably Teresa Giudice. In an interview with The Daily Dish podcast, Danielle discussed her past and opened up regarding the real reason she and Teresa did not get along.
"I have this rule in my life. I believe if someone genuinely apologizes to me, I'm going to take it from there … Otherwise, I might miss out on a really beautiful relationship and if I had closed my eyes and my heart to that, I'd be missing out on all of this,” said Danielle.
She went on to clarify that Teresa had reached out to her to diffuse the drama. “I didn't know where it would go when she reached out to me. I was hoping we would connect, make nice,” she shared. And make nice is exactly what they did, over yoga.
Danielle then said that she believes, at the time of their feud, Teresa genuinely thought she was doing the right thing due to the people in her ear. “You know she's really grown as a person and I think she’s getting rid of some of those toxic people that she had in her life. They were feeding her a lot of arsenic and she was getting sick from it.” When asked to clarify who these "toxic people" were, she said “Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita.”
"They're toxic at the highest level of toxicity. It's arsenic that they feed you, arsenic. If they had left Teresa and I alone, we would have a beautiful relationship. But they made her feel like she was the one that had to defend them,” she continued.
According to Danielle, she and Teresa were able to reconnect because Teresa was never really out to get her. “Teresa never did that. But she did react and be protective of them and I think that's one of the reasons she and I can reconnect, because she didn't come for my jugular. She was reacting as if she was protecting them and doing the right thing.”
