D'Andra Simmons Comments on the Current Status of Her Business
"A lot has happened since we taped that seven months ago," she said of The Real Housewives of Dallas premiere.
D'Andra Simmons' mother, Dee Simmons, who is lovingly known as Momma Dee, finally handed over the reins to the family company, which includes nutrition line Ultimate Living and skincare line Hard Night Good Morning, last season of The Real Housewives of Dallas. However, one of the happiest days of D'Andra's life soon turned sour when she learned that her company had only about three months left of financing.
"When we stopped doing Christian television infomercials, we started losing money, but I didn't realize how fast it was declining," D'Andra said during the RHOD Season 4 premiere (clip above). "In three months, we're gonna have to close the doors or I'm gonna have to make some serious changes."
D'Andra shared an update on her businesses on Twitter on Thursday, September 5.
"We didn't want to disappoint so we got right to the drama and fun in tonight's Real Housewives of Dallas Season 4 premiere. But I realized after watching the show, that a lot has happened since we taped that seven months ago; the most exciting of which was a recommitment I made to my company seven months ago which has included a renewed energy among the team, some amazing new marketing partners whose innovative, strategic work already is getting bottom-line results and a continued dedication to developing amazing products that deliver for our diverse customers," she said. "The company has life, potential and purpose again. And that's really beautiful!"
Fans on Twitter were so happy to hear D'Andra has been able to turn things around for her company, and so are we.
D'Andra will hit another major milestone when she celebrates her 50th birthday in an all-new episode of RHOD Wednesday at 9/8c. Check out a sneak peek, below.
