On June 19, Daisy took to Instagram to reveal that Bonnie "had several surgeries including her chest, face and brain, and two emergency surgeries" after a moped incident in Thailand. Several days later, the Below Deck Sailing Yacht chief stew, whose sister visited on Season 4 of the series, opened up about Bonnie's recovery after she spent time in the ICU.

"I arrived last night to Koh Samuai to support her and help my parents as it’s been quite an ordeal for them," Daisy wrote in an update on Instagram on June 23, which happened to be her younger sister's birthday. "I am sat by her side on her 34th birthday, with the extent of her injuries it’s quite a miracle she’s alive and we all feel optimistic and positive with time she will make a full recovery," the yachtie continued before stressing the importance of travel insurance and helmets.

"The only reason I am sharing this information (with my [family's] permission) is to promote a few things. For anyone who might see this who is going on holiday or traveling or anything like this. Please don’t get on the moped and if you do wear a helmet and have insurance (no helmet, no insurance)," she added. "My family [has] seen several people over the weeks be admitted and not all have been as lucky as Bonnie."

Daisy also advised her followers to "look out for [their] friends," as Bonnie's pal is the one who called the family to let them know that she was in the hospital. "If it wasn’t for her things could have been different. She was so fast-acting and a huge support to my family," Daisy said. "So always always check on your friends."

Before concluding her message, Daisy shared another update on Bonnie's current health status.

"Bonnie is in a fantastic hospital and the staff [has] been incredible," she shared. "There’s a long road to recovery but we have had so much support. We hope [that] by sharing this story it may save a life or save another person or family having to go through this. We can’t quite believe how close we were to losing her. DO NOT GET ON THE [BIKE] and if you do WEAR A HELMET [and] have TRAVEL INSURANCE. We love you, Bonnie, happy birthday."

Bonnie Kelliher shares an update on her health following her bike accident

A few days after Daisy shared her initial Instagram post about Bonnie, the Below Deck Sailing Yacht cast member did a Q&A with Bonnie. "Bonnie broke half her body, but didn't break her mouth," she said as the sisters lay together in a hospital bed.

"My mouth is really sore, actually," Bonnie said. Daisy then asked her sister if she had gotten any stitches in her mouth.

"I actually don't know what I've had done," Bonnie joked. "I'm still waiting to find out what happened."

Daisy went on to note that the doctor told her that Bonnie had "12 broken ribs." Bonnie herself said that she had pain in her eye, and her head had been shaved because there was a hole in the skin that showed her skull.

Bonnie may be on the mend, but the sisters were in good spirits as they shared updates from Daisy's Instagram page.
