Craig Conover Teases What's Next for Sewing Down South: "Influx Point" (EXCLUSIVE)

The Southern Charm cast member previews some big plans for his Sewing Down South pillow business coming up in 2025.

By Casey Suglia

Craig Conover's pillow business, Sewing Down South, is "growing rapidly" into 2025. The Southern Charm pillow magnate grew his tiny hobby into an "eight-figure" booming business (more on that down below), and now he's deciding what comes next.

How to Watch

2024 was a big year for Sewing Down South, with Craig opening his second Sewing Down South storefront in Nashville, Tennessee, and expanding his line to Kroger grocery stores nationwide. And now, in a Dec. 6 interview with The Daily Dish, he revealed that there is more to come from the business in the new year.

"There's a lot of collabs in the works," he explained. "We're in over 500 Kroger-owned stores with our home line collection, and we're doing a big collection with Belk, which will be out this spring, which is fun, and some smaller things."

"[I'm] just keeping it all organized and [putting] one foot in front of another," he noted.

Craig Conover opens up about Sewing Down South's growth

Between the collaborations and the flood of business, Craig revealed that Sewing Down South is growing fast. Therefore the new year might bring some new things for the pillow business, which once operated out of Craig's Charleston home.

"I think we're in like, this influx point where we're at like 25 employees and we gotta figure out how to continue," he said. "We're used to it being small and it's growing rapidly, which is great, but it's still just me, Jerry, and Amanda. I mean, we have 25 employees but there's just three of us at the management level, so [I] gotta figure it out."

Details on Craig Conover's Sewing Down South pillow brand

Southern Charm viewers watched in Season 9 as Craig expanded into a brand-new warehouse for the business. "Sewing Down South has grown exponentially, and it's incredible to go from selling out of my dining room, to an e-commerce site, to the flagship store, and now we have enough inventory to open our own warehouse," he said during a confessional in Season 9, Episode 3. "So, move over Martha Stewart. I'm here to stay."

Craig revealed just how much the business has grown during Part 1 of the Season 9 reunion, which aired at the start of this year on Jan. 11. "In four years, I've been able to take Sewing Down South to an eight-figure business, and we're in Kroger stores across the country," he stated.

If 2024 was this good for the pillow business, there is no telling what 2025 will bring for Sewing Down South. Take a tour of the Sewing Down South flagship store, located in Charleston, with Craig as the tour guide in the video above.
