Craig Conover Reveals a Surprising Potential Career Move: "Paige Thinks I'm Crazy"

The Southern Charm cast member and business owner could be returning to a place that is dear to his heart.

By Casey Suglia

Craig Conover could be hitting the books, yet again. The Southern Charm cast member is no stranger to being invested in his businesses — his pillow brand Sewing Down South expanded to its second retail store this year, and he opened up a new bar, By the Way, with fellow cast member Austen Kroll just this month. But, Craig might have his sights on furthering his education in business.

How to Watch

Although he is learning how to run a business while owning said businesses, he told Page Six that he wants to head back into the classroom, again, to learn from teachers who are experts on the subject. However, his girlfriend, Summer House's Paige DeSorbo, is just a little confused by this plan of action.

"Paige thinks I'm crazy, but I'm thinking about going back and getting a degree," he explained. "I'd like to learn how to take my business to the next level. I was a finance major [in undergrad] but I don't remember a lot of it."

Craig Conover smiling in front of a step and repeat.

However, he hasn't committed to getting another degree, which is good since Paige asked him why he would want to go back to school in the first place. And while his future might be unclear at the moment, he is optimistic about where it's going.

"I don't know what it looks like, but I'm excited to be better next week than I am today," he told the publication.

Where did Craig Conover attend college?

Craig, a Delaware native, received his Bachelor's degree from the College of Charleston in 2010, where he studied finance. He then immediately went on to attend law school at the Charleston School of Law, where he was set to graduate in 2014.

Did Craig Conover graduate from law school?

While Craig walked at his law school graduation in 2014, he didn't complete all of the requirements for his degree. During the Southern Charm Season 3 reunion, which aired in June 2016, he admitted that he was not eligible to take the bar exam as he never submitted his final paper to receive his diploma.

However, Craig was able to finally complete and submit the 50-page thesis, receiving his law degree from the Charleston School of Law, shortly after the Season 3 reunion aired. "It took me about eight months to write the thesis," he told The Daily Dish in 2017.

Craig ultimately passed the bar exam in 2017 and was sworn into the South Carolina Bar in 2018. But, he set those dreams of being a lawyer aside to focus on his pillow brand, turning his one-time hobby of sewing into an eight figure business with Sewing Down South. And now, Craig is the co-owner of the NYC restaurant, Carriage House, and Charleston bar, By The Way, with Austen

But, during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Dec. 12, Craig revealed that he would have probably stayed in law if he wasn't on Southern Charm. "I think I would have been a lawyer," he said in the video above. "Like, a practicing attorney."
