Chanel Ayan Dishes on Her Son Taj's College Plans: "His Favorite Is..." (EXCLUSIVE)

The RHODubai cast member also opened up about what she wants her only child to learn before he goes to school.

When Chanel Ayan isn't showing up to an event in couture, ending an argument by saying "Period. Dot," or hitting the runway on The Real Housewives of Dubai, she's a doting mom to her one and only child, Taj (who she shares with husband Chris Pillott).

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Dubai Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

Taj is already following in his famous mama's footsteps as a model, and he's also getting ready to finish up high school. On RHODubai Season 2, Ayan shared that her son is interested in attending college in the United States. During an exclusive chat with BravoTV.com in New York City on August 7, Ayan revealed that her son has zeroed in on a specific school.

"His favorite is NYU, so I might be coming to New York a lot," she said. Ayan is "excited" because she said her son "got into a few universities," though she didn't share which ones.

As for where Taj will end up, Ayan teased, "I've been in America a lot."

Chanel Ayan reveals what she wants her son, Taj, to learn before college

Before Taj spreads his wings and flies away to college, he's spending some time traveling. While chatting with BravoTV.com, Ayan joked that Taj might have some adjusting to do before he starts getting most of his meals from a dining hall.

"He's right now in Europe traveling around. I gave him home money, he went to a Michelin-star restaurant. At 18. [He] spent 450 euros on dinner," Ayan recounted about her son's unique travel experience. "And I'm like, 'Bro, I thought you were supposed to eat sandwiches, you're going to college. You don't live with money anymore. You can't be going to Michelin-star restaurants.' And he's sending me videos of him eating mussels."

Ayan can't blame her son for his champagne taste. She knows that it's how many of the kids his age live in Dubai.

"I just want him to learn a bit [about] money. That's Dubai kids, you know," she continued. "Like, they travel and go to Michelin-star restaurants 'cause that's what we do."
