11 Celebrities You Didn't Know Come From Famous Families

If you can't tell that Kaia Gerber is Cindy Crawford's daughter, well, you've probably never seen Kaia Gerber. And we'd never insult your celebrity knowledge by telling you that — surprise! — Kate Hudson is Goldie Hawn's baby girl. We won't even mention that Charlie Sheen is the son of Martin Sheen and brother of Emilio Estevez.

But there are more celebrities that come from made-for-Hollywood gene pools, and the buzz surrounding their lineage is much lower-key. Read on to get the scoop on some boldface names who have big-time relatives you probably didn't know about.

Okay, so this one isn't much of a secret — we're starting off soft. But, we still can't get over the fact that the To The Bone star is the daughter of English crooner Phil Collins. Want to know what it was like growing up with such a famous pops? Lily Collins does not hold back in her memoir, Unfiltered: No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me.

Blake Lively's not only married to an actor — she was raised by one! The All I See is You star is the daughter of Ernie Lively. OK, so that's not akin to being the daughter of Lionel Richie (we see you, Sofia.) But, Lively's actor dad is a star in his own right, and has appeared in everything from The Dukes of Hazzard to his daughter's famous flick, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, in which he played Blake's character's father. Isn't that adorable? 

Melissa McCarthy is not the only famous face in her family. And nope, she's not secretly Sean Spicer's cousin. The Bridesmaids actress claims Jenny McCarthy as her cousin — and Jenny has the throwback snaps to prove it. Check out this photo of little Jenny and Melissa at the zoo, way back when.

They have the same last name, but somehow we always manage to forget that Chad Lowe and Rob Lowe are bros. (Hey, that rhymes!) Chad even directed an episode of his brother's Fox show, Grinders, in 2016.  

This one is still so wild to us: Did you know that Warren Beatty's sister is Shirley MacLaine? To this day, Beatty's famous big sister has his back. Right after the cringe-worthy Moonlight/La La Land "Best Picture" mix-up, MacLaine snapped into protective mode. She immediately reached out to her brother, and told Vanity Fair that she was still sympathetically reeling days after the flub. 

The Odd Mom Out actress plays Jill Kargman's sister-in-law on TV. But in real life, Abby Elliott is the daughter of actor Chris Elliott. You may recognize him as the slightly stalker-ish Dom in There's Something About Mary, but off screen, Chris is a total sweetheart. When Abby tied the knot in 2016, Dad was right there by his daughter's side — and even got involved with the catering.   

The Star Trek actor was born into a showbiz family. His dad, Robert Pine, is an actor and director who's appeared in Dynasty and The Office. And that's not all: mom Gwynne Gilford was in the 1980 horror flick Fade to Black, among other movies. 

The Law and Order actress is the daughter of a legend: Mother Jayne Mansfield was one of Hollywood's most famous bombshell blondes in the 1950s and 1960s, and is a former Playboy Playmate. Tragically, Mariska lost her mom at a young age, and cherishes her mother's vintage charm bracelet. 

When your father is funnyman Rob Schneider, you're bound to be entertaining. Best known as a singer and songwriter, King didn't exactly follow in her famous dad's footsteps. Though ex-stepmother-in-law may be a bit of stretch in terms of being related, we still love the fact that Lane got to spend family holidays with Barbara Streisand when she was married to Josh Brolin. The Schwartzman brothers' mother is actress Talia Shire, who played Adrian in Rocky and Connie Corleone in The Godfather, which her brother Francis famously directed.
