English Speakers Rejoice! You Too Can Now Cook Like Caroline Fleming
The #LadiesOfLondon chef and author just revealed the cover of her first ever English-language cookbook.
Eating your feelings is common, but Caroline Fleming wants you to know that you can Cook Yourself Happy. The Ladies of London author received a contract to write her first English-language cookbook (and her fourth cookbook overall) in the Season 3 finale, and now she's revealing its cover:
Caroline's first English-language cookbook, Cook Yourself Happy
Cook Yourself Happy (due out September 21 and available for pre-order) fuses traditional Danish cuisine with Caroline's take on fresh, healthy fare, which has been informed by her world travels. She has modernized recipes that have been handed down by her great-grandparents and still evoke hygge, the trending Danish term that expresses a special feeling of coziness, as in sharing food at an intimate dinner party with friends and family.
"I hope it will also inspire how you spend time in the kitchen and with who, taking true value in the luxury of having the time to cook and spread love through your efforts, spreading happiness, and being conscious and responsible for what you eat," she previously told The Daily Dish in an email. "I believe you are what you eat."
There are 100 recipes in the book, including her family's shellfish stew, pheasant ragout and the signature national dish of Stegt Flaesk (fried pork belly). And her sweet tooth insures that there are plenty of comforting sweets like hot chocolate with orange syrup, cinnamon buns, and baked apples with marzipan and raisins.
Until Caroline's cookbook drops in the fall, get into the Danish spirit by reliving her Midsummer's Eve party, below.
