Captain Sandy Threatens to "Let Go" of Two (!) Yachties: “Everyone Here Is Replaceable”
Below Deck Mediterranean's Captain Sandy Yawn gave an ultimatum to two of her crew members.
On Season 9, Episode 8 of Below Deck Mediterranean, Aesha Scott declared it was "time to involve Captain Sandy [Yawn]" in Bri Muller and Elena "Ellie" Dubaich's ongoing drama. Captain Sandy did finally weigh in during Episode 9, telling the stews that if they couldn't work out their issues, their employment could be terminated.
Ellie and Bri's tension (which initially stemmed from a love triangle with Joe Bradley) continued to escalate during the episode as the two stews argued about everything from hierarchy to the way tasks were being handled.
Aesha talked to Sandy about it, explaining that because Bri and Ellie had vastly different accounts of what was happening between them, she didn't know how to solve the issue.
"My concern is what if we fire one and the other one — " Aesha began before Sandy interjected, "No, I'm just gonna do both."

Sandy called a meeting with Ellie and Bri and made it very clear that they needed to find a solution.
"Let me give you the big picture," she said. "We're here to do a job and we have to have respect in the workplace. If you two can't work together, I can't just let go [of] one. I have to let go of both because I don't know the full story, and neither does Aesha."
Sandy concluded, "I'm here to make sure that you can fix it and continue to do your job. Can you guys do that?"
Bri wasn't optimistic about that idea. "I don't think so because we've both tried," she said. "And it's just impossible."
As the two continued to argue, Sandy told them, "Everyone here is replaceable."
What happened between Elena Dubaich and Bri Muller?
Ellie and Bri's conflict started when they discovered they each had an interest in Joe. Although the drama initially escalated after Bri and Joe made out, it took a new turn when Ellie discovered Bri's notebook with, as Ellie described it, "a whole list of crimes I committed in laundry."
On Episode 9, after Joe and Ellie kissed during a crew night out, Ellie and Bri were at odds once again.
During charter, they ended up in a heated conversation after Ellie went on break without taking care of the guest cabins. While Bri felt Ellie did so to be "spiteful," Ellie took issue with the way Bri was speaking to her about it.
In the Below Deck Mediterranean After Show video above, Bri and Ellie shared more details on that argument.
"This whole misunderstanding happened in Bri's handover to me," Ellie said in the video. "Before she went on her break, I was under the impression she told me there was just a bed, a shower, and some trash...where I went wrong here is that I did not use my own eyes to look at the state of the cabins."
Ellie added, "It was never my intention to leave all of the cabins undone or to try to sabotage her."
Bri remembers it differently.
"I was like, 'OK it's just one or two cabins,' and she was like, 'OK, sick,'" she said in the video above.
Aesha Scott reacts to the cabin issue between Elena and Bri
Although Aesha felt both Ellie and Bri were at fault in their ongoing arguments, she did have a particular issue with Ellie telling Bri that she out-ranks her.
Noting the small size of their three-person team, Aesha explained, "These ranks don't exist. You're both the same to me." Given all of the drama between them, Aesha admitted, "I mean, I wanted to fire both of them."
