Captain Lee Rosbach Reveals His Worst Season of Below Deck Ever

Here's how he would have changed things.

What Have Captain Lee and Kate Chastain Been Up to Since Last Season?

One charter down in Season 6 of Below Deck, and it seems so far, so good with the M/Y Seanna crew in Tahiti. However, there's been one season so far that was so not smooth sailing for Captain Lee Rosbach and the crew right from the get-go, the Below Deck boss will never forget how rough it was.

How to Watch

Captain Lee told The Daily Dish during an interview earlier this month that Season 5 of Below Deck was one of his "worst seasons" ever, thanks to the green crew. "Last season was one of the worst seasons that I've experienced just because we had a bunch of rookies onboard, total lack of experience. Life on board is difficult enough to begin with. It's made even more difficult and compounded by inexperienced crew," he explained. "And then when you get inexperienced crew that think they know everything anyhow, then it really gets to be fun."

So now looking back on last season, would Captain Lee have done anything differently to make it better? "Yeah, maybe looking back on last season, I should have fired all of them right from jump street and started over," he said with a laugh. "Then it might've been better."

Well, last season of Below Deck still turned out to be pretty epic even with the green crew, if you ask us!

Captain Lee didn't hold back about his thoughts on how the crew did during their first charter of Season 6 in his latest blog on Bravotv.com. Though he had a lot of praise for the crew's inaugural outing, the Below Deck boss also teased that there are some rough waters on the horizon this season. "So there we have it, first charter in the books, and we have a long way to go. I’m sure this is really, in all seriousness, just the beginning," Captain Lee wrote. "So keep your seatbelts fastened, because severe turbulence can occur at any time."
