Captain Lee Rosbach Reveals the Biggest Difference Between Below Deck and Below Deck Mediterranean

Get ready to see a whole new side of yachting on #BelowDeckMed.

This Season on Below Deck Mediterranean...

Below Deck Mediterranean premiered Tuesday night, and you may have noticed a few differences between the new series and the original Below Deck. One of the most obvious is that the crew is filled with plenty of new faces, including a new fearless leader, Captain Mark Howard.

How to Watch

Watch Below Deck on Peacock and the Bravo App.

But what does Below Deck's Captain Lee Rosbach see as the main difference between the two shows? It all has to do with location, location, location. "Geography. That's about it," Captain Lee told The Daily Dish on the red carpet of the premiere party for Below Deck Mediterranean last week. "I mean, in the Med you have a different set of issues, as far as customs and immigration and the way things are done over there versus the way they're done in the islands."

And don't worry; Below Deck Mediterranean is going to be filled with everything you know and love about Below Deck, including the drama. "But basically, it's still pretty much the same. Water's water. Boat's a boat," Captain Lee said of yachting in the Caribbean versus the Med. "And different personalities with your crew, and charter guests that are different personalities. And you just have to deal with it as it comes up."

Captain Lee Rosbach and Captain Mark Howard are two Studs of the Sea in a pod at the Below Deck Mediterranean premiere party on April 27, 2016.

Captain Lee will lead another group of yachties on an epic adventure when Below Deck returns in the fall. "We finished filming [Below Deck Season 4] in the Caribbean and had a lot of fun. Great locations," Captain Lee teased.

Outside of work, Captain Lee has done a lot of play since Below Deck Season 3 ended. "I took a little time off, did a vacation, went down to Acapulco. Did some work with an orphanage that I work with down there. And the wife and I went down there, had a lot of fun," he said. "Didn't really do much, just kind of laid around. Had nothing to do and all day to finish it, that sort of thing."

But of course, we'll see Captain Lee hard at work again on Below Deck before we know it. Until then, catch a sneak peek of next week's episode of Below Deck Mediterranean, below.
