Britani Bateman Shares Huge Career News: "Check It Out!"
RHOSLC Season 5 friend Britani Bateman just dropped music and revealed plans for an exciting partnership.
When she's not stirring up some drama or defending herself against "high body count hair" accusations, Britani Bateman is an accomplished singer. And on the December 11 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5 friend revealed that she just dropped new music.
"Hey, Britani's got Christmas music out!" host Andy Cohen exclaimed during the episode. "Congratulations."
"I do, thank you..." Britani said, though she noted that it's "not yet" out on Spotify. "The EP drops tonight on my website, BritaniBateman.com. So check it out!"
Britani's Christmas EP, which she first announced in early December, includes covers of three iconic songs: "Oh Holy Night," "Jingle Bells," and "What Child Is This?"
The mom of two collaborated on the first song, "Oh Holy Night," with David Osmond — who happens to be the cousin of her ex, Jared Osmond.
Discussing the new music on her website, Britani wrote, "This collection is incredibly personal to me. I poured my heart into every note, hoping to capture the warmth, love, and magic that makes this time of year so special."
In other career-related news, Britani may be celebrating another achievement soon.
Did Britani Bateman ever buy Kérastase Thermatique?
After her clash with Angie Katsanevas at Meredith Marks' bat mitzvah celebration, during which Angie delivered her now-famous "high body count hair" insult, Britani did indeed follow Lisa Barlow's advice to do a Kérastase Thermatique mask.
"Britani, are we looking at the result of a Kérastase hair treatment?" Andy asked on WWHL, to which she responded, "We are. I did [get it], and there's a partnership in the making."
She then poked fun at Angie's comment. "We're doing classy high body count..." the songstress said about her look on WWHL, which featured her dirty blonde tresses in loose curls. "You can be a good girl and look like you have a high body count. It's just making good girls feel sexy."
Britani Bateman's past Broadway career
Long before she dropped her Christmas EP, Britani spent some time on stage as a Broadway actress and singer.
In 1999, she went on a National Broadway Tour in 1999 for the musical, Miss Saigon.
"I was on Broadway," she said on WWHL. "Not according to Bronwyn [Newport], but, hey, I really was — with [Andy's] friend, Jon Arthur Hill. In the same cast. Miss Saigon... Second national Broadway tour."
In addition to her Broadway work, Britani also sang when she worked at Tokyo Disneyland. She played The Little Mermaid's Ariel in a stage show, and she did lip-sync tracks for some of the live performance shows.
