Will Bravo's Top Chef Ever Do Another All Stars Season? It Could Happen Sooner Than You Think
What does the future hold for Bravo's Top Chef?
Every season of Bravo's Top Chef is filled with so many exceptional culinary masters that we don't know how the judges narrow it down to just one to crown the winner. So many talented chefs get so close yet still so far from taking home the title of Top Chef every season.
That's why it's so exciting when past Cheftestants return for another shot at victory, which they've done recently in Seasons 14 and 15. But there's nothing like when Cheftestants return in full force for an All Stars season as they did back in Season 8 of Top Chef.
Now that we're coming up on Season 16 of Bravo's Top Chef, premiering Thursday, December 6 at 9/8c, we've been wondering if the culinary competition will ever do an All Stars edition again. Luckily, Bravo's Top Chef executive producer Dan Cutforth answered this burning question during the series' PaleyFest NY event on Thursday, October 18 — and the odds are looking good, Top Chef fans. "Yeah, we would. I think it's getting to that time," Cutforth said when asked about the possibility of another All Stars season during the panel. "I think you could do a great season of winners. I think you could do a great season of people who were just runners-up. There were some incredible people who fell at the final hurdle. We've got some amazing cast who didn't get to be in All Stars, so I think it would be great to do that."
Cutforth's comments were met with rapturous applause from the audience. Give the people what they want, Bravo's Top Chef!
In addition to another All Stars season, Cutforth's fellow panelists, which included Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons, Graham Elliot, Joe Flamm, and Stephanie Izard, all discussed their wish list for future seasons of Bravo's Top Chef. Some of the dreams that they shared include shooting a season in France, as well as filming a finale in India.
Flamm also shared one particularly innovative idea for Bravo's Top Chef. "There should be a Top Chef city versus city battle where it's like Chicago versus New York versus the West Coast," he said.
