Kate Chastain Shares an Update on Her Pregnancy: “I Feel So Lucky”
The Below Deck alum, who’s currently featured on Peacock’s The Traitors, shared the latest on her journey during WWHL.
After making a surprise appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen back in December to dish on her just-announced pregnancy, Kate Chastain returned to the Bravo Clubhouse on Monday, January 30, to share what her journey has been like so far.
“I feel so lucky. It’s been the easiest pregnancy ever,” Kate said. “Well, my only. But yeah, very easy.”
Andy then asked the Below Deck alum if she had always wanted to be a mom, to which she responded, “I did, but I wasn’t sure it was going to happen for me. So I feel so lucky.”
The update comes after Kate previously revealed that while she already knows if she’s having a boy or a girl, she’s “saving that” information for now. The same goes for the baby’s name, although Kate did tell Andy that the name she chose has significance within her family.
Kate also hasn’t publicly discussed who her baby’s father is, but regardless, “I’m doing it solo and perhaps with some help,” she said of her parenting plans. “But I’m happy to do it alone.”
And if anyone’s well prepared, it’s her. “I think being a chief stew really trained me for it,” Kate said, going on to explain that a few of her fellow Bravolebrities are sure to be a great deal of help too. “MJ [Javid] from Shahs [of Sunset], she’s so sweet,” Kate told E! News in December. “The first time I met her she had just had her little baby and she came and picked me up at my hotel. We went out to dinner, she brought that baby with us, sat at the restaurant, had a margarita and some chips and salsa. I think, ‘Really? Are you nervous to be a mom?’ No, MJ made it look so cool and easy. So, I’m excited.”
