During a recent virtual conversation on Bravo's YouTube channel, the captains of all three Below Deck franchises, Captain Lee Rosbach, Captain Sandy Yawn, and Captain Glenn Shephard, came together for the first time ever to discuss everything from Below Deck Sailing Yacht's boat crash to crew hookups to their most memorable charter guests.

In addition to looking back on their time on their respective series so far, they also looked forward to the future, including Captain Glenn, who shared what we can expect from the upcoming Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 finale, and Captain Sandy, who teased Below Deck Mediterranean Season 6, which premieres on Monday, June 28 at 9/8c.

Looking even further ahead to the future, Captain Lee also shared what it was like filming Season 9 of Below Deck and what we can expect when the new season premieres. "It was challenging," Captain Lee said during the discussion. "But yeah, we had some unusual guests this year, which I thought was rather unique. Had some unusual crew as well, which probably wasn't so unique. So great combination of both."

Captain Lee also did a bit of reflecting on nine seasons of Below Deck. "Nine years, that's pretty remarkable," he said. "I remember Season 1, and we weren't sure what we were doing. Nobody was."

Of course, Captain Lee would soon learn what it was like being at the helm of a multimillion dollar yacht with cameras rolling. In fact, filming that first season of Below Deck totally gave him a new perspective on production.

"After day one, I just realized that these were just the hardest-working, dedicated individuals I've ever been exposed to. And I really took on a whole new appreciation for production and for, you know, the lifestyle that they lead because they're separated from their families as well. They're going through the same hardships that we all go through on yachts. It's not all that different, and we're all busting our ass for the same thing," Captain Lee shared. "It just, you know, you feel good together, and that means a lot. If it doesn't mean that to you, then you're probably in the wrong business."

While we wait for the new seasons of Below Deck and Below Deck Med, you can check out new episodes of Below Deck Sailing Yacht Mondays at 9/8c or catch up on Season 2 here.
