Below Deck Med Stew Kyle Viljoen Reveals His Partner of 12 Years Left Him for a Woman

Below Deck Mediterranean's Kyle Viljoen recently confirmed that he's found love. He introduced his boyfriend, Zachary, to the world during the July 25 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, later spilling more about the guy who won his heart to Bravo Insider: “I am officially in a very, very loving, supportive, charismatic, outgoing, adventurous relationship. This man, Zachary, is definitely my future husband. There’s no doubt about it.”

Now we're learning a bit more about the stew's love life before Zachary and even before Below Deck Med. In a clip from the upcoming July 8 episode, Kyle reveals some more emotional details about a previous relationship, which he's spoken about, and how it shaped who he is today.

You can check it all out in the clip above.

By the way, in the same Bravo Insider interview from last month, Kyle reflected on the ups and downs of his love life, noting, “I had to work hard, and I went through a lot of s--t to get here, you know. So I’m glad at least grass grew on the other side of the s--t pile.”

Is Kyle Viljoen Seeing Anybody?

Well, these days Kyle and Zachary are living their best lives by each others' sides. As Kyle explained to Bravo Insider, they met in New York City and he “fell head over heels for him.” Zachary works as a physical therapist and has a desire to focus on helping transgender patients. That also “won my soul,” as Kyle put it. “This guy’s got [an] amazing heart."
