What Else to Expect from Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9

According to a press release for the new season, Captain Sandy and the crew are dealing with "tumultuous waves" on Season 9, featuring "eccentric guests, an abundance of late-night demands that require intervention and a never-before-seen mechanical issue that orders all hands on deck."

"Amidst a saga of delayed provisions, managing a complicated interior department and a medical emergency, Aesha strives to ensure the guests are treated to a five-star service experience. Chef Jono, a self-taught culinary architect, quickly learns he has high expectations to fill to prove his culinary capabilities to the guests," the press release continues. "Meanwhile, the deck crew faces its own hurdles and must learn that communication is key in order to successfully get through the season.

Though Aesha begins the charter season in an excited mood (even telling Captain Sandy that it's her "homecoming" to be returning to the Med, and that she had "butterflies" before getting on the boat), things soon become challenging for her on board Mustique

"This is actually the hardest management situation I've ever had," Aesha laments in one moment from the trailer.

Her difficult management situation could be about a boatmance, as "two crewmates find themselves with their sights set on a mutual love interest."

Along the way, Captain Sandy is planning the surprise of a lifetime: proposing to her partner, Leah Shafer
