Below Deck Med's Jessica More Opens up About Her Struggles with Anxiety: "It’s an Everyday Battle"
The Below Deck Mediterranean third stew details her journey with anxiety.
Below Deck Mediterranean's Jessica More has taken to Instagram to open up about her years-long struggle with anxiety. The third stew detailed how her experience with "severe anxiety" over the last several years has shaped her everyday life.
"It’s brave of Hannah [Ferrier] to be open with her struggle with anxiety [and] I want to thank her for that. As a lot of my friends [and] family know I have been struggling with severe anxiety for about 7 years," she wrote this week.
From there, Jessica recalled her early days dealing with anxiety and how the experience of having it has changed throughout her journey.
"I remember my first panic attack so clearly -- I thought I was having a heart attack. I woke my roommate in the middle of the night to drive me to the ER and called my mom and dad on the way to tell them I loved them because I truly thought I was about to die," she wrote on Instagram. "I’ve been struggling on and off ever since. It disappeared completely for a year once and then reappeared out of the blue, returning with a vengeance every day for years. Even though I have tried my best to find methods and coping tools, it’s an everyday battle."
She then went on to explain why she wanted to share this aspect of her life publicly.
"We all have our battles one of mine just happens to be anxiety. I felt the need to make a post because I wanted to bring awareness to this topic and be another voice to hopefully help anyone who struggles with this to know that they aren’t alone. Lots of love to everyone and I wish you good health and lots of love!" she concluded the post.
