Here’s Where Captain Lee Rosbach and Eddie Lucas Stand Today
Below Deck’s Captain Lee and Eddie had a laughter-filled reunion at a recent event.
The bromance lives on! Below Deck’s Captain Lee Rosbach and bosun Eddie Lucas appeared together at a Connecticut fan event on October 1, and we’re happy to report that everything is still smooth sailing with the dynamic duo.
Moderated by Below Deck Mediterranean deckhand Colin Macy-O’Toole, the Q&A, held at The Palace Stamford, featured Captain Lee and Eddie sharing behind-the-scenes secrets, sailing stories, and of course, plenty of laughs. VIP tickets — which included a meet and greet as well as a photo op with the Below Deck trio — were also available for fans who wanted an extra-special yacht guest experience.
Afterward, Captain Lee took to Instagram to reflect on his and Eddie’s glorious reunion. “What a great night, thank you to all the fans who came out to see [Eddie Lucas], [Colin Macy-O’Toole], and [me],” the Below Deck captain captioned his series of seven photos taken at the event, which his wife, MaryAnne Rosbach, also attended. “The meet and greet was full of laughter and memorable moments. Even MaryAnne had a wonderful time meeting some of our incredible fans.”
In the comments section, Below Deck’s Hannah Ferrier called Captain Lee, Eddie, and Colin three of her favorites, adding a red heart emoji. Meanwhile, Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s Captain Glenn Shephard wrote, “Must have been amazing. Legends of the Sea,” to which Eddie replied, “We should do one!”
During the October 1 event, Captain Lee also revealed that Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy, the couple who inspired the 2009 film The Blind Side, were “some of the best charter guests” he’s ever welcomed aboard, according to Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “They were just the greatest couple,” he recalled. Switching topics to his “least favorite” charter meal, that distinction went to what he called “the meal I never got,” when chef Kevin Dobson left him high and dry during Below Deck Season 7.
Meanwhile, Captain Lee has a much higher opinion of Eddie, as evidenced by one of their most touching moments from the Season 8 finale. Just before Eddie disembarked the My Seanna, the Below Deck boss surprised the bosun with new epaulets featuring three stripes to signify his first officer ranking after earning his 1600-ton license.
“It meant a lot to me,” Eddie explained during a Below Deck After Show at the time. “It kind of choked me up a little bit.”
The decision was a no-brainer for Captain Lee, who added, “Trust me when I tell you, Eddie earned his stripes — and then some.”
More than a year later, their tight bond is still very much intact.
