Ariana Madix Reveals the "Best" Advice Andy Cohen Recently Gave Her: "He Just Said..."
The Vanderpump Rules cast member recently opened up about the hosting advice Andy gave her amid her job hosting the Love Island USA reunion.
Ariana Madix officially has one season of hosting under her belt after Love Island USA Season 6 wrapped up earlier this summer. The Vanderpump Rules cast member, however, did go into the job having learned a thing or two from Andy Cohen, and then putting those observations to work.
Ariana shared in a recent interview that she picked up a few skills from the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and longtime VPR reunion host. He also gave her some major advice before she hosted the Love Island USA Season 6 reunion (which you can watch on Peacock). Ariana told Page Six in an interview on September 27 that she "always" has an appreciation for Andy and all of his hard work.
"And he gave me the best piece of advice beforehand," she said. "He just said, 'Don't be afraid to go out there and to be you and put your own stamp on it.' Obviously, he's done so many reunions. He's literally the king of it! So it was really amazing to be able to get some advice from him before doing it."
But, this was also just a bit challenging for Ariana, who has loved Love Island USA for a very long time. "As host, there is leeway for you to feel how you feel and have a bit of your own opinion, but at the same time, you do have to be as partial as you can," she noted.
What is next for Ariana Madix after hosting Love Island USA Season 6?
Ariana has been very busy since completing her run as the host of Love Island USA Season 6. And now she's back to focusing on her sandwich shop, Something About Her, with her co-owner and BFF Katie Maloney. Ariana recently told E! News that she talks to Katie "all the time." "We've just been focused on our business," she said.
But, August and September were just as busy for Ariana. After her hosting job, Ariana immediately began her second run as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway, which she completed on September 1. Once that was complete, she presented at the 2024 Creative Arts Emmy Awards and attended a taping of Dancing with the Stars.
In an interview with Broadway actress Kristen Chenoweth for Interview in August, Ariana revealed that she hopes to do another Broadway show in the future, too. But until then, she could be relaxing in the near term. "Well, I would love to travel more," she said.
