Ariana Madix's Boyfriend, Daniel Wai, Recently Made a Major Career Move (DETAILS)
Ariana Madix's beau has an exciting new business venture in New York City.
As Vanderpump Rules fans may know, Ariana Madix's boyfriend, Daniel Wai, works as a fitness coach, personal trainer, and bartender. However, he recently made an exciting new career move and is now also the co-owner of a bar in New York City.
On the November 29 episode of the Scheananigans podcast, Scheana Shay chatted with Lala Kent and The Valley's Janet Caperna, revealing she went to "Dan's new bar in New York."
"He owns the bar?" Lala asked as Scheana replied, "Yeah. I don't know if it's other people too, but, yeah." Scheana added that the space is "really cute" and also serves food.
Daniel appears to be a partner in a new bar called Little More located in the "heart of Tribeca" (you know, the "up-and-coming" neighborhood, according to The Real Housewives of New York City's Jessel Taank).
Details on Daniel Wai's new bar, Little More
According to the restaurant's website, "Little More is where upscale sophistication meets a warm neighborhood vibe," with speciality cocktails, a full bar, and a food menu with delicious bites. The spot was put together by "four passionate hospitality professionals," including founding partner Aron Watman along with Dorian De La Mater, Ryan Steckowski, and Daniel.
The website continued by noting that the team "poured their collective expertise into creating a space that’s as elegant as it is inviting, offering delicious dishes, expertly crafted cocktails, and an atmosphere you’ll want to return to again and again."
Congratulations to Daniel on his new venture!
Ariana Madix's restaurant experience as co-owner of Something About Her
Among many other things, Ariana and Daniel now have hospitality business ownership in common. As Vanderpump Rules viewers are well aware, Ariana opened Something About Her with Katie Maloney in May 2024.
Though Ariana and Katie faced several challenges opening up their spot, such as permit issues and staffing changes, they now run a successful business and learned many valuable lessons along the way.
"Surround yourself with a team of people who might know things you don’t know and have strengths where you are weak," Katie shared with The Daily Dish around the opening of the sandwich shop.
Ariana, for her part, noted how proud she was of how she and Katie adapted to the various hurdles thrown their way throughout the process. "I think us being able to roll with the punches, and just keep going, and keep looking ahead, and keep believing, and staying committed to it, I think that’s how we were able to get to this point," she shared, adding, "The years of experience that we’ve had working in different restaurants brought us a really good perspective on being on this side of things now."
More Details on Daniel Wai's Fitness and Bartending Career
In addition to opening up a new bar, Daniel also owns and helms Daniel Wai Fitness as a personal trainer.
"I have been a trainer for the past decade and it has been one of the most fulfilling and humbling experiences," he writes in his website bio, where he noted that his passion for fitness began in his teens. "As a typical teenager, I was insecure with my size and strength and decided to incorporate exercise and physical fitness into my life and it has been a large part of my life ever since."
Additionally, the last time we caught up with Daniel on Season 11, Episode 14 of Vanderpump Rules, he talked about bartending. "I train seven days a week, and then I bartend Friday. I do double shifts on Saturday," he explained on the episode.
