We Have a Major Update on Gizelle Bryant and Jamal Bryant's Relationship
After rekindling her romance with her ex, the RHOP cast member revealed where they currently stand in the Season 6 premiere.
When it comes to her love life, Gizelle Bryant has always been an open book, whether it was talking about her divorce from Jamal Bryant, taking viewers along on dates, or exploring new relationships on The Real Housewives of Potomac.
In the most recent seasons of RHOP, Gizelle rekindled her relationship with ex-husband Jamal. Hearing the feedback from teenage daughters Grace, Angel, and Adore, as well as questions about her relationship from her fellow Potomac Housewives wasn't always easy, but Gizelle stood by Jamal the last time we saw her at the RHOP Season 5 reunion.
As we caught up with the RHOP ladies in the Season 6 premiere, which aired on July 11, Gizelle revealed the latest on her relationship with Jamal. When Candiace Dillard Bassett asked how things were going for the couple, Gizelle replied, "Life is like day-to-day right now. It's not good," explaining, "It's just too much pandemic."
Candiace then asked Gizelle if she was going to break up with Jamal. "I do feel like it would be nice if somebody lived eight minutes down the road, not eight states away," Gizelle said of Jamal, who currently lives in Georgia. "And like 2020, we only saw each other like once a month."
Candiace noted that this situation would just be "temporary," but the uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic still made things challenging, according to Gizelle. "If I had an end date for that, I would be like, cool," she said.
Gizelle isn't exactly ready to get back into the dating game, either. When Candiace pointed out the difficulty of now having to get "to know, like, a whole new person" should she and Jamal go their separate ways, Gizelle said, "Or, I could just be by myself for a little while."
We'll see Gizelle open up more about her relationship with Jamal as Season 6 of RHOP continues. In fact, the trailer for this season shows her sharing with her hairstylist and BFF Kal Blount, "Jamal and I having a pandemic long distance relationship is not working."
