This Celebrity Turned Down an Opportunity to Appear on Watch What Happens Live — and Andy Cohen Still Isn't Over It
Andy told his bestie, John Mayer, that he's "ready" for this famous face to make a cameo on WWHL.
Andy Cohen is tight with so many A-listers, you'd think he could get anyone he wants on his show. But after nine years of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the host admitted that there's still at least one Holy Grail guest that he hasn't yet nabbed.
When his bestie John Mayer surprised him at the taping of a special episode of WWHL in honor of Andy's 50th birthday, he passed on a viewer question: "Name one celebrity that you are still salty about having turned down your show."
"Oh wow, there are so many!" Andy said. "Gosh, I'm always wanting to turn them."
"Believe me, I know you like trying to turn people," John teased.
Missing his usual lifeline, Andy said, "I wish I had my earpiece, so the people in the control room could remind me. What's the control room saying that I would say?"
"Michelle Obama," John answered, leaning forward.
"Michelle Obama!" Andy exclaimed. "Yes, absolutely, yeah. I've given so much money. I've participated with them. I'm an enthusiast. I'm ready!"
"I think you have an incredibly highbrow show for what you pretend," John remarked. "You pretend to be a very salacious show but — I'm now pitching to Michelle Obama to come on your show."
