Andy Cohen’s 2022 Holiday Plans Feature More Than One “First”
The WWHL host shared how he plans to spend the holidays now that he’s “outnumbered” by his two kids.
Andy Cohen has plenty to be thankful for this year: His daughter, Lucy Eve Cohen, was born in April; Sirius XM renewed Andy Cohen Live for three more years (and expanded the series to five days a week) in November; and he doesn’t have to travel for Thanksgiving.
While fans already know what his New Year’s Eve plans are, the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host is now sharing what he’s doing for Thanksgiving — and for the rest of the year.
“I am really excited because I’m going to be here for Thanksgiving, in New York City, for the first time in my life,” Andy explained to E! News’ Carolina Bermudez. He noted that he usually spends the holiday with his family in his hometown of St. Louis, but they decided to give him a “break” because he would have to fly back and forth with two small kids. Instead, his family will be flying in to spend Turkey Day in the Big Apple — and he hired a caterer so that nobody has to cook.
Speaking of his kids, the 2022 holiday season will feature another first for the WWHL host: It’s his first one as a dad of two, to his 3-year-old son, Benjamin (aka Ben), and daughter, Lucy, who is nearly 7 months.
To celebrate the holidays as a family of three, the Most Talkative author has plans to light the menorah with his children. He also wants to keep his apartment “super cozy” with “a lot of fires” in the fireplace as the temperature drops.
“Ben loves a fire, and it’s great,” he added. “It feels really good around the house. Lucy can’t take her eyes off of [Ben], and we’re having a lot of fun.”
Andy is certainly adjusting to his life as a dad of two, but he acknowledged that he is now “outnumbered.”
“It’s fine,” he said. “There’s enough of my energy.” His energy isn’t the only thing he now feels he has “enough” of.
“Two [kids] is enough,” he shared, before adding that he has “no” plans yet for a third child.
For now, the WWHL host is focusing on creating new holiday traditions with Ben and Lucy.
